The train passed the station and left me standing there alone it was the furthest point that I had ever been from home and when I looked to see if there was anyone around there were plenty of people, but not a soul to be found What does it mean to be entirely inadequate at every single thing you try? and the sum of your life, a list of fucking disappointments, not a single thing done right I am inanimate, an object impermanent (A bone can only bend so far before it cracks and breaks) I wandered through the city, totally exposed forced to bear the weight of the world on broken bones when I turned to ask if there was anyone to help there were plenty of people, but not compassion to be felt What does it mean to be entirely inadequate at every single thing you try? and the sum of your life, a list of fucking disappointments, not a single thing done right I am inanimate, an object impermanent (A bone can only bend so far before it cracks and breaks) And all we are is flesh and bone. What does it mean to be so god damn inadequate? What does it mean to be me?

Make Me Move 04:14
Straining to hear the words that leave your lips Feeling your fingers slip through mine Paralyzed, my limbs are gripped by fear I'm totally numb and on the outside looking in And so should I separate myself from who I was before? What will it take for me to find the empty home I lift behind? I can't get out of my own head Just want to know what's real again I need the earth under my feet I need the sound of my heartbeat With a love that animates me Make me move Trying to find the words to say But they all splinter on my tongue I'm not asking for a miracle Give me the dose, give me the pain, the point, the plan I can't get out of my own head Just want to know what's real again I need the earth under my feet I need the sound of my heartbeat With a love that animates me Make me move I have resolved To learn to love Despite the circumstances I've had enough Give me the energy Give me a dream I want to feel again To know what's real again

Mistaking love for weakness Consciousness for fact Ignoring or forgetting Their own past In practicing forgiveness No stone left to cast Hiding behind verses Behind clean hands Severing the part of me That's just like them Making him a memory I'll forget Begging for mercy Pleading for pain Reclaiming time we've wasted Carving your name Call this my kiss to betray Hammering nails in the hands of a man without blame Begging for mercy Pleading for pain Reclaiming time we've wasted Carving your name And all I ever wanted Was everything you promised I felt the holes in your hands You left me empty-handed And carved your name in me Open your eyes and see your face for the first time Open your eyes and see what God looks like Are you listening to me now?

Turn around and see yourself Through the eyes of the person you became Draw your name in the ash and smoke Then blow it all away Help me find my way back home Place the portrait of us in frame Remember me in whichever light you'd like Let's not forget that we are just visiting We don't get to stay here You'll convalescence and become home in time Help me find my way back home How bad do you want to be like me? (Home on the periphery) (Part of a broken machine) (Caught in the nothing between) How bad do you want to be like me?
